Endorsed Privately Practicing Midwife

Midwifery has been woven into my life for as long as I can remember. My mum has been a continuity midwife for almost 20 years, so I grew up watching the power of relationships, trust, and steady support throughout pregnancy, birth and the postpartum period. Those early experiences shaped not only my understanding of midwifery, but also the kind of midwife—woman and mother—I hoped to become.

I trained and worked in New Zealand, where continuity of midwifery care is the foundation of our practice and the gold standard of midwifery care. Working in this model taught me how transformative it is when women are truly known by their midwife—when care is consistent, relational, holistic and centred on partnership. Moving to Australia, I was saddened to see that this approach is not the standard, and I felt a deep pull to bring those values with me into private midwifery practice.

Since settling in Hobart in 2024 and becoming a mother to my daughter Daisy in 2025, my understanding of connection has only deepened. Navigating early motherhood without nearby friends or family showed me how vital community is—how much we all need support, understanding, and the feeling of not being alone.

This business "Daisy Chain" was born from that truth. I want to offer women not only continuity of care, but also a place of connection: a space where relationships can grow, where experiences are shared, and where mothers feel held through one of life’s most powerful transitions.

At the heart of my work is a simple belief: women and families thrive when they are supported, seen, and surrounded by genuine care. I’m here to walk alongside you—consistently and compassionately—as you step into your own story of birth and motherhood.
